With Sudeep’s Hindi movie, Makki (dubbed version of Telugu hit movie Eega) receiving positive response from the audiences, his latest Kannada movie Bachchan, which was a blockbuster, would be released in Hindi in August.

The movie features Parul Yadav, Bhavana Menon, Tulip Joshi, and Jagapathi Babu. Bachchan completed 50 days in more than two dozen centres in Karnataka. Directed by Shashank, the movie consolidated Sudeep’s position in Sandalwood further.

Bachchan is produced by Uday Mehta, and he has sold the dubbing rights to a Mumbai-based distribution company, which is releasing it in Hindi. Originally, there were plans to make an independent movie in Hindi, but the producer dropped the idea. Considering Sudeep’s popularity in Andhra Pradesh, Bachchan was to be released in Telugu version as well.

However, the producer, who holds the dubbing rights, still appears non-committal on the Telugu and Tamil release.

The Hindi movie is likely to be promoted extensively, both Parul Yadav and Tulip Joshi are Mumbai-based, and are expected to participate in the promotions.

Meanwhile, Sudeep has returned to Bangalore after shooting for a cameo in S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali. The actor is expected to take up a Kannada-Tamil project to be directed by K S Ravikumar.
