Suvarna Plus is the new Kannada entertainment channel starting operations from today. This will be the second entertainment channel in Kannada for the Star Network. The new channel has the tagline "Masthi Swalpa Jaasti."
On the opening day four superhit films; Veera Madakari, Shourya, Chellatta and Tirupati will be telecast. Sources say that Puneeth's popular quiz show Kannadada Kotyadhipati will be shifted to Suvarna Plus in the afternoon slot. Other programmes in the lineup include Comedy-Comedy, Namma Family, Cinereels and Campus Connect.
