Real Star Upendra is known for bailing his friends out of trouble most of the times. The super star recently took part in the shooting of movie Sihi Muttu, which was lying in the cans for more than 3 years now.

Directed by well-known cinematographer Ashok Kashyap, the movie faced release pangs because of several setbacks. Though he is not part of the original star cast, Upendra has thrown the lifeline at Ashok by acting in the movie.

Sihi Muttu features Sameer Dattani, Prem and Dimple Chopde in the lead roles. Comedy star Komal is seen in a special role. V Harikrishna has composed the music for the movie and the audio album, was released long ago. However, the talkie portion was incomplete because of unavailability of the actors’ dates and financial problems.

After learning about Ashok’s problem, Uppi reportedly summoned him and encouraged him to resume shooting. The shooting for one song was pending, and apparently the director was not clear about the same. That’s when Upendra volunteered to be featured in the song. The actor spent 4 days shooting for the song in Hyderabad last week.

Interestingly, this is Uppi’s second film in which he has danced for a particular track.

The actor took time off from his busy schedule; he is currently shooting for Brahma, directed by R Chandru. When he heard of Ashok’s problem, he stopped shooting for Brahma and took up Sihi Muttu. His friendly gesture has come in for a lot of appreciation from Sandalwood folks.
